Suggested Use

Take one plant-based capsule once or twice daily, with or without food, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Because trace minerals can overlap across multivitamins and other mineral supplements, consider your total intake from all products and do not exceed the labeled use.

Consult a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription medication, or have a medical condition.

Why Smarter Exists

Built on formulas, not fame.

Smarter Vitamins wasn't built with celebrity endorsements, influencer hype, or trendy marketing. We built it the harder way: make thoughtful formulas, show you what's inside, and let the product earn the repeat order.

Clear labels. No proprietary blends. Ingredients chosen for a reason - not because they look good in an ad. 800,000+ orders later, we're still doing it the same way.

Why Smarter MicroMinerals

Small amounts. Specific roles.

Six trace minerals, each in a clearly labeled amount and form. Here's what each one actually is.

15 mg Zinc

Zinc is required for normal immune function, DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, and the activity of numerous enzymes.*

2 mg Manganese

Manganese is an enzyme cofactor involved in normal metabolism, antioxidant defense, and bone formation.*

1 mg Boron

Boron is a naturally occurring trace element found in many plant foods. No Daily Value has been established, and its precise role in human nutrition is still being studied.

150 mcg Chromium

Chromium is a trace element found in foods and supplements. Research continues into its role in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism.

100 mcg Selenium

Selenium is used to make selenoproteins involved in antioxidant defense, DNA synthesis, and normal thyroid hormone metabolism.*

100 mcg Molybdenum

Molybdenum serves as a cofactor for enzymes involved in the normal metabolism of sulfites, sulfur-containing amino acids, and purines.*

The Form Is On the Label

TRAACS® and Albion® forms are identified directly rather than being hidden behind a generic mineral blend.

More Isn't Automatically Better

Trace minerals are used by the body in small amounts. Follow the Suggested Use and account for overlapping minerals in multivitamins or other supplements.

Good to know

FAQs

Trace minerals are minerals present or used in the body in relatively small amounts.

The six ingredients in MicroMinerals do not all have identical nutritional classifications or functions. Zinc, manganese, selenium, and molybdenum have established essential physiological roles. Boron's role in human nutrition is still being studied, and scientific views on chromium's essentiality have evolved.

One capsule provides:

15 mg zinc, 2 mg manganese, 1 mg boron, 150 mcg chromium, 100 mcg selenium, and 100 mcg molybdenum.

The specific mineral forms are also listed on the Supplement Facts panel.

A chelated mineral is associated with an organic molecule, commonly amino acids, to form a mineral complex.

MicroMinerals uses specific TRAACS® and Albion® forms and identifies those forms on the label.

We do not claim that every chelated mineral is automatically better absorbed than every non-chelated mineral. Absorption depends on the particular mineral and form.

They have different biological roles, and this formula provides them in one convenient capsule.

MicroMinerals is not a complete multivitamin or multimineral and isn't intended to replace a varied diet.

Possibly, but check the labels carefully.

Multivitamins commonly contain zinc, manganese, chromium, selenium, and molybdenum, so combining products can substantially increase your total intake.

More isn't automatically better with trace minerals.

The label permits one capsule one to two times daily.

Remember that two capsules doubles every listed amount. If you also use a multivitamin or other mineral supplements, account for those amounts as well.

If you're unsure whether one or two capsules is appropriate for you, ask a healthcare professional.

The label allows MicroMinerals to be taken with or without food.

Some people find zinc-containing supplements easier on the stomach when taken with a meal, so taking it with food is reasonable if you experience stomach discomfort.

Yes, some can.

For example, zinc can interfere with absorption of certain quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics and penicillamine. Chromium can also interact with certain medications, including diabetes medications and levothyroxine.

If you take prescription medications, ask your physician or pharmacist about timing and potential interactions.

Boron occurs naturally in plant foods, and most U.S. adults obtain around 1 mg per day from food.

However, scientists have not established an essential human function, RDA, or Daily Value for boron. This formula provides 1 mg per capsule, and we prefer to be transparent about what is known and what is still being studied.

The capsule itself is plant-based and contains no gelatin.

Before the entire finished product is described as vegan, every active ingredient, carrier, processing aid, and manufacturing step would need to be confirmed against that standard. Until then, plant-based capsule is the cleaner description.

Each bottle contains 90 capsules and 90 one-capsule servings.

At one capsule per day, that's 90 days. At two capsules per day, it's 45 days.

Consult a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or nursing, take prescription medication, have a medical condition, or already take other supplements containing substantial amounts of these minerals.
